How it works
Three steps, then you just look.
Add your billing keys
Paste an admin or billing key for each provider. Tallypane tests it right away and explains in plain language what’s wrong if it can’t read costs.

Tallypane syncs the numbers
Each provider’s daily costs are pulled and re-checked for the last three days, because providers revise recent figures.

Security
Billing keys are serious. We treat them that way.
Tallypane only uses your keys to read costs, and it stores them like the secrets they are.
Write-only fields
Once saved, a key is never sent back to the browser. You see its last four characters, nothing more.
Keys stay sealed in the database
A database dump alone reveals no key: keys are decrypted only inside the server code that calls the provider.
Row-level security
Each organization’s accounts, costs and keys are isolated by Postgres itself, not just by application code.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
What is the hosted version?
Tallypane is built as a self-hostable app — Next.js plus Supabase, one organization per installation — and is in active development. The hosted version will run it for you: sign up, add keys, done. The waitlist is for that.
Which providers are supported?
OpenAI and Anthropic sync today. OpenRouter, AWS, Google Cloud, GitHub and Vercel connectors come next. Meta Muse and Supabase have no billing API, so they’ll be tracked as manual entries and plan presets — and so will any other tool you pay for.
Which keys does it need?
Tallypane only ever reads billing data. OpenAI and Anthropic need an admin key, because that’s the only kind their cost APIs accept. The upcoming connectors will each ask for the narrowest billing access their provider offers — for example, an AWS IAM user limited to Cost Explorer reads. The add-account form shows a short guide for each one.
Does refreshing cost anything?
Not for OpenAI or Anthropic — their cost APIs are free to query. Some providers do charge (AWS Cost Explorer bills $0.01 per request), so Tallypane shows the estimated cost of a refresh before it runs.
Which currencies?
USD and BRL, switchable anywhere. Conversions use the Central Bank of Brazil’s PTAX rate for each day.
When does the hosted version open?
We’ll email everyone on the waitlist once — when it opens. That’s the only email you’ll get from the list.
